Let’s make this one count!

This guy knows how to make it count. Or how to count. One of the two...
Spring break is next weekend! If you’re heading out of town, this might be your last chance to take in a weekend in the Capital District.
Here are some things going on:
Friday 2/27
NOT Tiny Molecules
Showing today at 11am and 12:30pm in the EMPAC Theater, Molecules to the MAX “is a 40-minute adventure that follows Oxy, Hydro, Hydra, Carbón, and other characters as they navigate the colorful world of atoms and molecules in search of life. With help of the Molecularium  a spaceship that can shrink to nanoscale sizes  the group explores the “secret worlds†and molecular structures of everyday objects including a snowflake, chewing gum, a penny, and even a human cell.” Sounds fun! (And free!)
Let’s hope you don’t try and use this…
How to Lose Friends & Alienate People is playing in 308. $2.50 @ 7, 9:30 and midnight.
Shoes
The Black Student Alliance hosts a fashion show in the McNeil room starting at 7pm.
Mothers = Coffeehouse
The Class of 2011 turns Mothers into a coffeehouse with free snacks and coffee starting at 8pm. There will be live music too! (fbook)
Schmooze then party hard downtown
Troy Night Out is back again for this month. Head downtown on the free shuttles or take the 87 to this evening’s festivities. After the businesses close at 9, head on over to Rev Hall for the Official Unofficial TNO Afterparty ($5 to get in). This month’s lineup looks awesome as usual.
Football
Well, we would call it soccer, but there is a film at EMPAC tonight about legendary football/soccer player Zinedine Zidane. It sounds awesome, and with a soundtrack by Mogwai, how could you go wrong! The event might be sold out by the evening, so if you’re interested in going, we suggest that you pick up your tickets earlier than later. All Over Albany has a good writeup as well (fbook)
Hockey
Guess who stops by the Field House tonight? Hint: they still suck. Yes, that’s right, archrival Clarkson’s Golden Knights are pitted against our Engineers at 7pm. One minute left, and Clarkson still sucks!
Jazzfest ‘09
At the Arts Center downtown, in the Blackbox theater, Troy High and RPI musicians will be performing some Jazz tunes for you. $5 for individuals, or $10 if you say you’re a family.
Your 15 minutes awaits…
Open Mic night at Ground Zero from 8 to 10 PM if you’ve ever wanted your chance to perform in front of other people! GZ is in Nugent Hall if you didn’t know.

Done eating? Start cooking.
The McNeil Room will also host the RPI Iron Chef Competition from 6 to 9 PM. $20 to enter or $5 to judge. It’s put on by Circle K, so they’re donating the proceeds. I wonder what the secret ingredient will be!
Because you think you can be like the guys in 21
