Special Report: After the Storm — Snow removal at Stacwyck
RPI’s snow removal plan apparently doesn’t work so well in Stacwyck. Neither does their paving. Before seeing these pictures, you should know that Stacwyck parking lot was repaved this fall, but you couldn’t tell by looking at it.
This is a disgraceful display of incompetent work that directly affects the student body. Tell us what you think about this! (more photos below)

This is a fact of life living in the north east. There are lots of frost heaves which damage the pavement.
Looks like bad stone bed underneath. Or water that had no where to drain and forced movement. Overall, needs to be dug up and repaired or next year it will be worse
It doesn’t help that they had to pave it in the winter. Lots of moisture under the pavement, which just enhances the freeze-thaw problem. It was repaired quickly to get the parking lot back to a useable condition, but it obviously wasn’t meant to last. Hopefully the entire area will be repaved correctly once ECAV nears completion.
And it has been repaved. Much better conditions then last year. Lets hope it lasts through the winter this time.
