WNYT makes news out of obvious, FOX seems confused

If you’re looking for a chuckle, check out this link. WNYT, the local NBC affiliate tells the world that RPI has warned us that beer pong can spread H1N1. What’s next? WNYT reporting that RPI is telling us that kissing can spread germs, and sex can spread STIs?
And apparently beer pong is banned on campus: MyFoxPhilly. (I’d like to see them try…) Fox manages to butcher the pronunciation of Rensselaer, and then contradicts their headline in the report by saying that not playing the game is only “urged”.

Wow, how slow of a news day does it have to be for that to get mentioned?
Sadly, thats what the daily news is like every day.
I got a call at 6:30 Weds morning from a friend at NJIT who saw it on the news, which apparently hinted that RPI was the cause of H1N1 in the northeast.
A quick look revealed articles about this as far away as Alabama….
Personally, I’m laughing. Reporters are morons.
